Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Edward Odoom, has revealed the secret of Hearts’ wonderful goal at Dreams FC over the weekend in Week 7 of the Ghana Premier League.

Kofi Kordzi’s goal that beat Dreams on Sunday was the final part of a sequence of passes involving himself, Emmanuel Nettey and Frederick Ansah Botchwey and the strike from Kordzi that went into the net sent fans into a frenzy.

The build up was praised by observers of the match and Odoom told Citi Sports that the team had been working on such things in training and that fans would see more of these things in future matches.

“This is what we usually do at training. We do passing drills and we work our movement with and without the ball. I think that the team is still a work in progress and soon we will be at a top level.”

Th result was good for Hearts especially after they lost the Super 2 clash to Kotoko in Accra in Week 6 and Odoom stated the loss urged them to get back to their notes and out things right.

“After losing the match to Kotoko, we went home and we planned very well for this match. Recovering from the match was not that difficult, to be honest.”

Hearts of Oak will take on AshGold in Week 8 on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
