K.P. Boateng ready to play anywhere for Besiktas

Former Black Stars player, Kevin-Prince Boateng, says he is willing to deploy his skills anywhere on the pitch for Besiktas in the second half of the season in Turkey.

Boateng joined Besiktas in the January transfer window from Fiorentina and got his first goal for the team on Saturday in their 3-0 win over Gaziantep.

The former Frankfurt, Las Palmas and Barcelona forward says even though he enjoys scoring goals, he is ready to sacrifice for the team.

“My debut was good and it could not have gone better. I am really happy that I could score to help the team and congrats to us.

As everybody knows, I can play in a number of positions but I will help where I am needed. Wherever the coach wants me to play, I will try and do my best.

Of course, I want to play closer to goal because I feel I can score a few goals but it may happen that the coach will need me in deeper positions. I have to just work hard and be ready.”

Boateng and Besiktas will take on Basaksehir and Trabzonspor in their next two matches in the Turkish Super League.
