Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars were the biggest casualties of the MTN FA Cup Round of 64 matches after both teams suffered shock exits at home.

Kotoko fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Division One local rivals, Asokwa Deportivo in the game played at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Aduana Stars meanwhile, suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Brong Ahafo rivals Bechem United.

Both clubs had been in the news for all the wrong reasons after they played 45 minutes of their league game in midweek with 10 players each despite no red cards.

Kotoko’s game had to be moved to Obuasi because the Baba Yara stadium, the usual home of Kotoko, is under renovation.

Richard Arthur put the Porcupine Warriors ahead before goals from Raymond Owusu and Godfred Abban turned the tie in Deportivo’s favor.

Hearts of Oak meanwhile are through to the round of 32 after beating Danport FC 2-0 at the Accra Stadium with goals from Fredrick Ansah Botchway and Joseph Esso.
