Jordan Ayew scores again to record best ever goalscoring season in Premier League

Jordan Ayew scored his eighth Premier League goal of the season on Saturday, marking his best ever tally in the English top flight.

Ayew found the net in the 28th minute of Crystal Palace’s crucial game against Watford.

The goal came from Palace’s first shot on target and stemmed a good start from the visitors.

It was a great goal from Ayew who, after finding some space on the edge of the Hornets’ penalty area, received a pass from James McArthur, and curled a brilliant finish into the top corner.

It was Jordan’s second in the space of a week, having scored the winner for Palace last weekend against Brighton.

With nine matches still to go for Palace, Jordan has equalled his best-ever goalscoring tally in the English top-flight and could finally surpass the tally.

8 not out

The forward has scored seven goals in the Premier League twice before – for Aston Villa and for Swansea.

He scored seven goals in his first season in the Premier League with Villa before netting once in the 2016-17 season while at Swansea.

The next season he scored seven more for the Welsh club.

He earned a loan move to Palace after Swansea went down to the Championship but endured a difficult goalscoring season, finding the net just once in 20 appearances.

However, this season he has already scored nine times in 28 starts, including today’s strike.

He has already scored home and away against both Arsenal and West Ham and at Old Trafford against Manchester United as well.
