Everton’s Gomes humiliates Chelsea’s Reece James 8-0 in ePL tournament [VIDEO]

Chelsea and Everton’s encounters in the Premier League this season have produced lots of goals; eight in total from their two matches.

Yet another game between those teams produced eight goals, only this time, to Chelsea fans’ utter embarrassment, all those goals went to the Merseyside team.

With the Premier League season suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league has organised an EA Sports FIFA invitational tournament featuring some of the best gamers in the various sides.

Chelsea starlet Reece James was paired against Everton’s Andre Gomes.

It was expected to be a one-way contest, given that Gomes apparently only started playing FIFA this week.

But to Reece James and Chelsea fans utter shock, Gomes steamrollered his Stamford Bridge opponent, going 3-0 up at the break courtesy of a Dominic Calvert-Lewin hat-trick, 5-0 up after 53 minutes and ending with an 8-0 victory.

An elated Gomes said he was “quite happy” while Reece James did not look too pleased with himself.

James said he now wanted Gomes to go all the way in the tournament.

Check out some scenes from the game:

We find this hard to believe, @aftgomes! 😂

That 8-0 win was not the performance of someone who has only played @EASPORTSFIFA in the last week!#ePremierLeague @Everton pic.twitter.com/ZmoafSBJmK
