Attamah Larweh aspires to play regularly with Black Stars

Black Stars and Fatih Karagumruk defender Jospeh Attamah – Larweh believes he has the potential to become a staple in the national team if he continues to play regularly for his club side.

The defender who is on loan from his parent club Istanbul Basaksehir endured a rocky start to his Black Stars career but has since put in a string of strong performances while also displaying the ability to play in multiple positions when he has represented the nation.

The loan move has allowed him to feature more prominently and regularly for the Turkish TFF Lig.1 side.

I’m happy the GFA are trying to change the system; not only bringing a new coach but also bringing young guys into the team.

So for me, this is good. I’m sure if I’m playing regularly, I will get the chance again to play regularly and not on and off.

I know how it is [with the national team], because if you don’t play for a year, there will be question marks and I don’t want there to be question marks about my call ups.

That’s why I make the moves I make [for regular playing time].

Attamah played 14 times for Rizespor in the Super Lig, providing one assist and made 8 appearances for Karagumruk before the league was suspended due to Covid – 19.
