Tottenham’s Lloris and Son separated by teammates after disagreement in win over Everton [VIDEO]

Tottenham might have picked up all three points against Everton on Monday night but the headlines have been dominated by an incident at half time between teammates Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min.

With the players making their way towards the tunnel after the referee had blown his whistle, goalkeeper Lloris made his way over quickly to Son.

Giovanni Lo Celso tried to step in Lloris’ way but was pushed aside by the Spurs captain who then shoved Son.

Son, stunned at first tried to have a go at Lloris but was stopped by his teammates who managed to get both players into the dressing room with no further incidents.

Take a look at the confrontation below:

Lloris had apparently been upset that Son, having lost the ball, failed to track back and defend.

It appears the two players made at during the break as they shared a hug in the tunnel before returning to the pitch.

After the match, Lloris played down the incident saying there was no problem between him and the forward.

“What happened between me and Sonny is just something that is part of football sometimes. There’s no problem at all,” he told Sky Sports.

Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho said the incident was beautiful as he had asked the players to demand more from each other.

“It’s beautiful. It’s probably a consequence of our meetings. If you want to blame someone, blame me. I asked them to demand more from each other. I think it’s something very important for the team to grow up because you need to demand from each other,” he said.
