Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o Fils has been ranked the richest African footballer by reputable South African magazine, Soccer Laduma.
Eto’o beat competition from Ivorians Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure, with the former Barcelona star valued at a reported $140 million. Drogba, $98 million and Toure, $80 million, complete the top 3.
Ghana legends Asamoah Gyan and Michael Essien make the top 10 list with Gyan coming in at number 10 with a reported net worth of $30 million, just behind Essien in 9th, with the former Chelsea star reportedly worth $32 million.
