Ghana’s Alfred Duncan and Denis Odoi featured in the semifinal second leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League game with Duncan progressing to the final for the second time in as many years.

Fiorentina drew 1-1 with Belgian side Brugge in Belgium to progress to the final via a 4-3 aggregate win after beating Brugge 3-2 in the first leg in Italy.

The Black Stars duo played varying roles in the second leg and suffering varying fates in the contest played out in Europe’s third tier competition.

Odoi started for Brugge as part of a two man defensive midfield unit but was sent off in the 86th minute after picking up his second yellow card.

The veteran defender won five of eight ground duels and completed 45 of 50 pass attempts and had 66 touches. He made three interceptions in the game.

Duncan featured in Fiorentina’s 2-1 loss to West Ham United in last season’s final and gets another chance to win the title. This year’s final will take place in Athens, Greece on May 29.

Former Inter Milan midfielder Duncan replaced Arthur Melo in the 71st minute and played 19 minutes in the contest. He won all three ground duels and completed all five accurate pass attempts.
