Amiens SC has confirmed that they have re-signed Ghana international Nicholas Opoku for a season-long loan from the Italian side, Udinese.

The defender has been with the Italian club since the summer of 2018 when he joined from Tunisian side Club Africain.

The 23-year-old will return to Les Licornes after an international 6-month loan spell, despite the club’s relegation to the Ligue 2.

The central defender played just seven games for Amiens in the 2019/2020 season and will be hoping to get more game time under Luka Elsner.

A medical is imminent – it is unclear whether or not ASC will have an option to buy the player included in the contract.
