Legon Cities FC goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda has commended the Ghana Football Association for their road map geared towards the return of football in Ghana.

The GFA plans to resume football activities in October in consultation with government over the country’s Covid-19 status.

As part of plans for the resumption, the league will be divided into a Northern and Southern zone with games being played in designated stadia.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Dauda praised the efforts of the GFA and believes players and teams should make the most of the situation.

“I think the Coronavirus has allowed the GFA to learn something,”he said.

“Telecasting the matches live on TV will help market the players and the league.

” I think this will make the game look more attractive because the matches are going to be played on good pitches,” Dauda concluded.

The Ghana Football Association presented an elaborate plan to clubs detailing a road map to bringing football back in the country under strict COVID-19 protocols.

The proposal will see the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League played in a zonal format, the three-zonal Division One League competition will be further divided into sub-zones (two sub-zones per zone) while the National Women’s League will maintain its current format.
