Black Stars Head Coach C.K Akonnor says the team will adopt a different strategy for the friendly against Qatar after their 3-0 loss to the Eagles of Mali on Friday.
Ghana will face Qatar later today in their second friendly which is geared towards preparing them ahead of the AFCON qualifiers which take place in November this year.
Following his first defeat as Head Coach for the National team on Friday, Akonnor in an interview with the GFA media says, he will make some changes to the squad that faced Mali.
“Approach is going to be different.” He said.
“First of all, against Mali we were not compact and I am looking forward to improve in that area to be compact and of course how we approach, how we attack.
“How we attack in the way of offensive play was not effective and we need to improve in that area and of course defensively we allowed too many chances to the opponent.” Akonnor explained.
“Yes, there will be changes in the squad for the Qatar game.”
Akonnor will be looking to redeem himself after a poor showing in his first game in charge since replacing Kwesi Appiah in January.
