Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been drawn against the Mauritanian side, FC Nouadhibou in the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors represented Ghana in the same competition in the 2019/2020 season and have been given the chance to compete again, following the cancellation of the domestic league season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Kotoko travel to Mauritania for the first leg of the qualifier before they play at home in the second leg.
The first leg is scheduled to take place on the weekend of November 27, 2020, whereas the second leg comes off on the weekend of December 4, 2020.
The winner of the tie between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and FC Nouadhibou will face the winner of the clash between Al-Hilal Club of Sudan and Ugandan champions Vipers SC.
Nouadhibou are the current holders of the Mauritanian Ligue 1 championship and have won it eight times in all.
They are also four-time winners of the Mauritania FA Cup.
