COVID-19: Thomas Partey presents branded nose masks to individuals, organizations

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has supplied his own branded face masks to help fight the spread of COVID-19 in his homeland of Ghana.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Gunners from Atlético Madrid for £45million on transfer deadline day, donated the masks across towns in Ghana including Tema, Ashaiman, and Odumase Krobo as well as selected clinics.

This follows an earlier donation of masks Partey made seven months ago in the Eastern and Greater Accra regions, with homeless children, taxi drivers, young footballers, and many others the beneficiaries of Partey’s generous donation.

Partey who missed Ghana’s international duties with the Black Stars due to injury, was represented by his Publicist, Samuel Zigah who made the donations on his behalf.

According to him, Partey ‘believes that every stakeholder has a role to play in combating the deadly virus’, which has seen over 50,000 cases and more than 300 deaths in Ghana alone.

According to the vice-captain of Ghana’s senior national team, ‘everybody must be protected from the virus and wearing the face mask is one of the important means towards this global battle’.
