Former NBA Champion Perkins and Shareef O’Neal pledge to aid Nigerian basketball talent

Former NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins has promised to help a young Nigerian basketball prospect by name Stephen Akase to fulfill his ambition to enroll in an American educational institution that gives him the opportunity to pursue basketball.

In a video that has gone viral on twitter, the young Akase who indicates that he is a high school freshman is seen dribbling a ball through his legs and shooting it through a hoop.

According to Perkins, he is willing to welcome the prospect into his home.

The young Akase who is listed at a height of 6’4 in his twitter bio also received a response from Shareef O’Neal, son of Los Angeles Lakers great Shaquille O’Neal.
