Penalty or not? See the controversial decision that cost Kotoko against FC Nouadibhuo

Kumasi Asante Kotoko were held by Mauritanian side, FC Nouadhibou to a 1-1 away draw in their 2020-2021 CAF Champions League preliminary round clash on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

The Porcupine Warriors had a perfect start to the game with Osman Ibrahim handing the Kumasi club the lead with less than 10 minutes played.

However, Hemeya Tanjy hit back for the hosts from the spot after Yusif Mubarik was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the 18-yard-box.

This had fans torn in opinions, with many stating the penalty awarded to Nouadhibou was a wrong call and unfair on Kotoko.
