Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia, has gifted Kumasi-based club, King Faisal a brand new 39-seater bus.

This comes after the president of the football club Alhaji Karim Grunsah petitioned Manhyia twice to get them a new bus ahead of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

CitiSports checks indicate that King Faisal’s old bus is in bad condition and the club was going to resort to renting buses to travel for away games.

Alhaji Grunsah confirmed the news in an interview with Happy FM.

“It is true, I have received a bus from the Vice president Alhaji Bawumia. We have received a 39-seater VVIP bus from him”.

“He called me into his office and gave me the bus. He said he has heard a lot about me and decided to help me”

“We went to show him the particular bus we wanted, and he agreed to get it for us. The bus was registered in 2017″.

“This is a great motivation for the entire team for us to do well in the league. We will brand the bus nicely”. He added.

King Faisal started the 2020/2021 league season with a defeat 4-3 away o WAFA. They play at home to Aduana Stars next on Sunday.
