Black Queens Head Coach, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo believes the cancellation of the 2020 African Women’s Cup of Nations is a blessing in disguise.
The Africa Women’s Championship was set to come off in November and December this year but CAF cancelled the competition due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Tagoe believes the break will give the team enough time to improve and get ready in time for the next edition of the competition.
“The women’s league will soon begin, which will give me the opportunity to scout for players and add to our already talented team.” She said.
” In a few months when the league starts and the National team resumes competitions and we train for a while, the team will be a force to reckon with.” She concluded.
The Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations is expected to make a comeback in 2022, however, no official date for the competition has been communicated by CAF.
