Brazilian midfielder, Fabio Gama, put up a great performance on his first start for Asante Kotoko since joining them back in October 2020.

Gama was handed a starting role in Kotoko’s outstanding Ghana Premier League game against Liberty Professionals on Monday night and the former Brazil U-20 star wasted no time in making an impression, setting the second goal of Kotoko’s 2-0 over the Scientific Soccer Lads.

After Kwame Opoku fired Kotoko in front inside just 10 minutes, Gama played perfectly waited pass onto the path of the striker, who raced past two defenders and slotted home for 2-0 with just 18 minutes gone.

The assist gave fans glimpses of the what the Brazilian is capable of and will hope for more in the coming weeks.

The win lifts Kotoko up to 6th on the table with a game in hand.
