Shakul who is the younger brother of Issah and Bastir Samir is currently ranked 10th in the world and 3rd in Africa.

He has promised to work hard to win a medal for Ghana when he competes at the games.

“I would want to give thanks to God for this opportunity because I am really happy.

“I am promising Ghanaians that I will achieve what my brothers could not.

“They are both Olympians and also African medalists and I am following their footsteps.

“They couldn’t win medals at the Olympics so I am promising Ghanaians that I will bring back a gold medal,” he stated after receiving news of his conformation.
