Algerian side, USM Alger have tabled a bid worth $300,000 for Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku, but the Porcupine Warriors have told Alger to make an improved offer if they want a deal for the player.
Opoku – who has been the main source of goals for the Ghanaian giants – has been linked to several African clubs in recent weeks.
As widely spread that the Porcupines could accrue $1 million for the forward in an imminent transfer, footy-ghana.com reports that the value is less than half a million dollars.
The leading club in pursuit of the striker is Algerian outfit USM Alger after several claims of South African, Egyptian and Tunisian clubs wanting to capture him.
The amount offered by USM Alger for the lethal striker Kwame Opoku is $300, 000 but Kotoko have asked the Algerian outfit for an improved offer of at least $400, 000 if they want a deal to be struck.
According to our sources, the former Nkoranza Warriors player is very interested in making the move to North Africa and will not hesitate to leave the shores of Ghana should both clubs strike an agreement.
Kwame Opoku joined Kotoko in February 2020 and has scored seven goals in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
