Thomas Duah takes charge of Ashantigold until end of season

Assistant coach of Ashantigold, Thomas Duah, will take charge of head coaching duties at the club until the end of the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The head coach of the club, Romain Folz, has vacated post without the club’s consent after being in charge for only one month.

The Miners’ Public Relations Officer, Eric Karikari, has confirmed no new appointment will be made with 12 games to the end of the season.

“There are few matches to end the season so management has appointed Thomas Duah to take charge of the team on an interim basis till the end of the season,” he told OTEC FM.

“We have no plans to bring in another coach as of now.”

The departure of Folz is the Obuasi-based side’s second coaching departure this season after Milovan Cirkovic left the club before the end of the first round.

Ashgold will host Techiman Eleven Wonders this Saturday at the Len Clay Stadium in a GPL matchday 23
