US-based Ghanaian athletics coach, Wisdom Loh, has donated football equipment to Division II Shepherd Stars, a football club formed out of the Good Sherpherd Orphanage.

The equipment included 30 pairs of Adidas boots, two sets of jerseys, bags, tracksuit, pairs of hose, cones, 12 Adidas new balls, medical supplies, gloves, among others.

The donation went towards the continued effort by Mr. Loh to support the Odupong Ofaakor-based club in its bid to help the wellbeing of young people across the local community, rewarding their efforts in school and providing them with the necessary modern day football training and skills.

Shepherd Stars FC, founded by Apostle Paul Kwaku Addei Jnr. used the occasion to honour Mr. Loh for his kind-heartedness towards the growth and sustainability of the club.

A citation presented to Mr. Loh read in part; “You have contributed immeasurably in diverse ways to the stability, growth, and progress of Good Shepherd Stars Football Club and the Good Shepherd Orphanage at Odupong Ofaakor [Bohye Asaaseso] in the central region of the Republic of Ghana. Your unparalleled commitment of seeing this club and orphanage grow is what has kept us strong also and given us a reason to continue to do football and also run the orphanage successfully. With you, these little orphans are assured of their next meal.”

“We are indeed grateful for your generous and expensive gifts to the orphanage and the football club. Your donations will give the team the needed motivation to participate and perform very well in this season’s central regional Division II League.

For your immense contribution to the cause of this orphanage and football club, we say ayekooo!!!
