GPL: Olympics can win title with fair officiating – Gladson Awako

Captain for Accra Great Olympics, Gladson Awako believes the team can compete for the Ghana Premier League title this season if officiating improves especially in their away games.

This comes after the Dade Boys secured a 3-2 win over WAFA on Friday in a match day 23 encounter in Sogakope.

Prior to that, Olympics succumbed to a 4-1 thumping away to Elmina Sharks.

Awako says bad officiating has been the reason for their poor showing on the road this season.

“There are still more games to be played because there are soo many games to be played and the league is very competitive”, he said in an interview.

“Olympics have had unfair officiating this season and if things go on fairly we can win the title. Most of the games we have lost away was due to bad officiating”.

Great Olympics currently sit in second-place of the Ghana Premier League log with 40 points, a point behind leaders Asante Kotoko.

Olympics host Aduana Stars in Accra on matchday 24.
