Ibrahim Imoro talks about the pressure in playing for Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko left back, Imoro Ibrahim, has revealed that playing for Kumasi Asante Kotoko comes with pressure that is not associated with playing for other teams.

Ibrahim joined the Porcupine Warriors in December 2019 and has gone on to establish himself as arguably the best left back in the league.

Having previously played for Bolga All Stars and Karela United, the 22 year old contends that playing for the record Ghana Premier League champions comes with elevated pressure to win.

“You know Kumasi Asante Kotoko is a big club and the fans always want you to win every match and that always comes with a lot of pressure. But with the other clubs, they are not as big as Kotoko so the pressure there is not so much,” he told Citi Sports in an exclusive interview.

Kotoko are currently top of the Ghana Premier League table with nine games to the end of the season.

Ibrahim is hopeful he and his teammates can see out the season and win the title.

“We are working hard to win the league and we are trying to do that game by game.  But the main aim is to be champions at the end of the season.”
