MTN FA CUP: GFA announce lucrative prize packages

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced prize packages for each stage of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup competition.

All ninety-two clubs who participated in the preliminary round of the competition will be given an appearance fee of GH₵1,500 in cash plus GH₵500 worth of MTN airtime.

Teams that have advanced to the round of 64 earn GH₵3,000 in cash and GH₵500 worth of airtime.

The prize package goes higher and higher until the end of the competition where the ultimate winner of the 2020/2021 season of the FA Cup will receive a grand amount of GH₵80,000 as prize money with the runner-up also set to take home GH₵30,000 in cash.

An amount of GH₵1,000,000.00 will also be presented to the winning club ahead of their participation in the Africa Club championship.

Here is a breakdown of the packages for the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup:

Among the packages is transportation where the GFA is committed to providing to a few of the clubs who were moved to other Zones, as well as pay match officials fees and other operational costs.

The Round of 64 matches is scheduled to be played between May 28 -30 across the various league centres in Ghana.
