The team sealed its place at the global athletic showpiece event after qualifying for the finals at the ongoing World Relay Championships in Poland.

The event in the Polish city of Silesia is serving as a double qualifying event, with teams able to book both an Olympic ticket as well as a World Championship ticket.

Ghana finished second in their Heat to the Netherlands by a mere eight one thousands of a second, after both teams crossed the finish line in 38.79s.

It will be the second successive World Championship appearance for the men’s relay team, having also participated at the 2019 edition in Doha, Qatar.

The 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon are scheduled for Fri, Jul 15, 2022 – Sun, Jul 24, 2022.
