Thomas Partey handed his favourite No. 5 jersey at Arsenal [VIDEO]

Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey, has been handed the Number 5 jersey at Arsenal ahead of the new season.

Partey completed the previous season in the Number 18 jersey, which he was given after he signed for the North London club from Atletico Madrid.

At his previous club and also for his national team, the Black Stars, Partey has consistently worn the Number 5 jersey.

However, with the jersey worn by Sokratis Papastathopoulos until he was released by the Gunners, the Ghanaian had to settle for Number 18.

With Sokratis gone, Partey will now be able to start next season in his favourite jersey.

The club is certainly making a big deal of it too, posting consecutive videos on Twitter of the number being printed on the back of the jersey and Partey’s excitement about “freshening things up.”
