CAF Women’s Champions League: WAFU Zone B qualifiers postponed

The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFUB) has rescheduled the date of the CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.

The Qualifiers were initially scheduled to come off July 15 to 30, 2021 but has been rescheduled to be held from July 24 to August 5, 2021 at Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Aside the change in date, all other arrangements regarding the competition remain unchanged

Evelyn Nsiah Asare is the Chief Executive Officer of Hasaacas Ladies and she spoke to Citi Sports about the latest development.

“We have been notified and because we know it is a natural occurrence, there is nothing we can do” She said.

“We are always prepared to take part in the tournament whenever they ask us to come.

“We were getting ready to travel on Wednesday morning when the call came, so it gives us extra time to prepare for the competition.”

Hasaacas Ladies, have been drawn against Nigeria’s Rivers Angels FC and Niger’s AS Police de Niamey in Group B of the WAFU Zone B qualifying series of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
