Asante Kotoko head coach, Mariano Barreto has accused the management of the club of deception regarding the facilities available to the team.
The veteran Portuguese trainer has endured a rocky relationship with the club in recent weeks over his criticisms of the club’s infrastructure and practices.
He says none of the timelines he was given regarding the readiness of the club infrastructure was adhered to.
“I was told we had a good pitch and it’s true, we have a good pitch for training.” He said in an interview with Nhyira FM.
“I was also told the infrastructure will be ready in two/three weeks when I was coming, unfortunately it didn’t happen due to a lot of challenges.
“But I understand they tried to solve it but the fact is that the infrastructure was not ready and there was no alternative.”
Barreto took over from Maxwell Konadu in March this year and led the club to a second place finish in the just ended Ghana Premier League season.
