Eight players are set to leave Kumasi Asante Kotoko before the start of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season kicks off on October 29, 2021.
The exiting players consists of those whose contracts will be terminated and others who will be shipped out on loan, Citi Sports has learned.
The contracts of club captain Emmanuel Gyamfi and defender Habib Mohammed will be terminated due to what the club deems as unsatisfactory conduct.
Midfielder Latif Anabila, who was only signed from Ashantigold last season, has been told by head coach Prosper Nartey that he will not be counting on him going forward. Kwame Adom Frimpong has also been axed because the coach does not consider him as part of his plans.
