Black Queens head coach, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo, has revealed she is happy with the experience gained from the Aisha Buhari Cup.
The Black Queens played two games in Nigeria, a 3-0 trouncing at the hands of South Africa and a solid 2-0 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
Speaking ahead of the first leg of Ghana’s Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifiers against the Super Falcons of Nigeria, Tagoe-Quarcoo described the Aisha Buhari Cup as a good preparatory exercise for his team.
“It was really good, it served as proper preparation”
She then added: “Looking at the performance it wasn’t bad at all, and I believe based on the experience we acquired and the corrections we made, will make a difference on Wednesday.”
The return leg will be played on Sunday, 24th October.
