Samuel Anim Addo calls on Ghanaians to support the Black Stars

A member of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Executive Council, Samuel Anim Addo has called on Ghanaians to be positive and believe in the Black Stars.

This follows the re-appointment of Milovan Rajevac as head coach for the senior national team on a one-year contract.

The Okwakwu United Board Chairman is confident the Serbian trainer can qualify Ghana for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and must be given the needed support.

“Believe in the team, let us support the team, let’s reduce the negativity,” he said in an interview with Citi Sports.

“The World Cup is so paramount to all of us, let us talk about the positives.

“This coach knows a lot about Ghana and you can see clearly he didn’t come here for money. He is taking less than what he took previously.

“The contract is only one year and it tells you that he needs to perform to get an extension.

“The appointment of Rajevac is in the right direction. Let us support them and I know they will deliver.”

Ghana take on Zimbabwe in a double-header for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers on 9th and 12th October, 2021 respectively.

With the appointment of Milovan Rajevac, who helped Ghana qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, many are hopeful that the Serbian trainer will be able to repeat the same feat for the 2022 World Cup.
