Accra Hearts of Oak Board member, Alhaji Braimah Akambi wants midfielder Gladson Awako to be supported as he goes through a phase of psychological difficulty in his career.

Awako is yet to feature in a competitive match for the Phobians since signing from Accra Great Olympics after citing mental health issues.

According to Alhaji Akambi, the club is willing to help Awako overcome his current predicament if only he will avail himself.

“He has lodged complaint that he has a psychological problem that is preventing him from joining the team.” He is trying to sort himself out, we are still on the issue, we haven’t completed it yet. Alhaji Akambi said.

“It is his personal issue and if he needs our help, he will bring it to us and so we have no other option that to pray and support him, for him to come back.

Accra Hearts have only managed to pick up 2 points from their first two games of the 2021/2022 season.

The defending Champions will next face Aduana Stars after the international break.
