Former Education Minister, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is tipping Hasaacas Ladies to win the first edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Her message to the team on Twitter came after they secured a spot in the final with a 2-1 win over Moroccan club ASFAR on Monday.

“Congrats to Hasaacas Ladies for making it to the final of the first-ever Women’s Edition of the CAF Champions League. You have made us proud and we support you to go for the ultimate. We go do! Wɔnngye! No shaking,” she tweeted.

Goals from Doris Boaduwaa and Evelyn Badu, either side of an equaliser Najat Badri, sent Hasaacas Ladies into the final where they’ll face South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Perpetual Agyekum saw her penalty, given after a VAR check, hit the post before the rebound was cleared off her foot before she could tuck it home.

Congrats to Hasaacas Ladies for making it to the final of the first ever Women’s Edition of the CAF Champions League. You have made us proud and we support you to go for the Ultimate.
