LOC outlines progress on 2023 Africa Games

The Executive Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the 13th Africa Games, Accra 2023, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, has outlined the various steps that the LOC has taken ahead of the games in 2023. He was speaking at the launch of the logo, mascot and website in Accra on Thursday 16th December.

In the 1 year and 65 days the LOC has been in existence, they have been able to:

  • Begin work on the facilities at Borteyman
  • Sign a protocol agreement
  • Inaugurate the sub committees of the LOC
  • Through the government of Ghana, find contractors for the facilities at Borteyman and the University of Ghana, Legon

In addition, there will be various regional events culminating in a national event in Kumasi in which 19 regional and tertiary teams will compete and the best athletes will be chosen to represent Ghana at the games.
