African sports data and analytics outfit AfroStat has partnered with Citi FM and Citi TV and their affiliated online portals – citinewsroom.com and citisportsonline.com – to produce exclusive data and analysis content for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, across television, radio and online.

The collaboration is aimed at delivering high-quality AFCON content tailored for Ghanaian audiences throughout the continental showpiece, which runs from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon.

In providing data and analytic support to Citi, AfroStat stands to benefit from an enormous brand exposure owing to the latter’s stronghold of the Ghanaian media space.

“We’re extremely excited to be partnering with Citi to bring AFCON 2021 coverage to Ghanaian homes. The opportunity to work with a powerhouse organisation like Citi was one we had to leap at, and we have confidence we can play our part in delivering high-quality AFCON coverage,” said AfroStat Head of Technical, Scott Geelan.

Citi Sports Editor, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo was ecstatic about partnering with Afrostat at such a major tournament, stating that it was a further step in the company’s primary objective of serving its viewers and listeners with the best and most comprehensive content.

“Partnering with AfroStat for AFCON 2021 was an opportunity we could not let pass by. Stats and their analysis have become a crucial part of football assessment in recent years and as Ghana’s premier sports media brand, we were excited by the prospects of working with one of the best in the business, AfroStat, to bring the most comprehensive coverage of the tournament to Ghanaians and everyone else across the continent,” he said.
