Ghanaian sprinter, Benjamin Azamati has started his 2022 indoor season with a continental (Africa) leading 6.54 secs to win the 60m finals at the 2022 NM Collegiate Classic.

Azamati’s time ranks him as the 3rd fastest Ghanaian ever in the 60m behind Leo Leonard Myles-Mills (6.45 secs [African Record]) and Eric Nkansah (6.51 secs).

The 22 year old former Presec student’s time also ties the NCAA Division II record in the 60m.

Azamati, Ghana’s 100m record holder, is primed for a big 2022 after becoming the fastest Ghanaian ever at the start of last year.
