Hearts midfielder Gladson Awako, Sammy Adjei take GFA coaching course

Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Gladson Awako and former Black Stars goalkeeper, Sammy Adjei are among 42 persons taking the Ghana Football Association’s Residential License D Coaching Course for the Greater Accra Region.

The coaching course started on Sunday, February 20, 2022 and is still ongoing at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram.

The course is being overseen by the GFA Coaching Instructors and Coach Educators including the FA’s Technical Director, Bernhard Lippert and the Director of Coaching, Education, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah.

“Participants will be taken through some key areas which include growth and development of young footballers, methods of coaching and cardiovascular resuscitation/administration of first aid,” the FA’s statement said.

Coach Sympathy

Coach Sympathy, the subject of a documentary by Citi Sports Editor, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo is also taking the course.

The current batch for the coaching course is expected to end its session on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
