The head coach of Ghana’s U-17 men’s team, Samuel Kwesi Fabin says he and his technical team are working to build a “formidable” team for the country.

The Black Starlets are currently camping at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram in preparation for the 2022 WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations and the Total Energies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The side failed to make it through to the last edition of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations which was ultimately cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fabin said preparations for both competitions are going well, with the players well up for the challenge.

‘’Preparation has been ongoing. As I said we have been training morning and afternoon. We have already played about five matches and this is the sixth one. We are going to play a lot of matches outside our camp to be able to prepare the boys very well for the tournament that we are going to partake in,” he said.

‘’Like I said earlier, preparation is ongoing, everything has been provided and we are working very hard to raise a very formidable team for Ghana.”
