The Director of the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence, Mrs. Winifred Mawudeku says there are plans to establish a Sports Stadium at the centre.

Mrs. Mawudeku said they hope to start construction on the new stadium and other sports facilities in the middle of 2022.

“The GFA has a major plan for this center and it is to first of all secure the land then we can build a lot more facilities. We are hoping that towards the middle part of this year we are going to start building a sports stadium here, we are going to build a basketball court here, we are going to complete the beach soccer pitch, we are building two of them and we are going to build a lot more football pitches,” she told the GFA.

Mrs. Mawudeku said they hope to raise enough funds to commence work on the project.

“There are a lot of activities that are going to go on within this period going forward and we are hoping that grace and money will come so that we able to do that.”

According to the GFA, the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence currently has 4 dormitories, one administrative block, one big dining hall, four football pitches – with one AstroTurf, a Beach Soccer pitch and one dressing room.
