Otto Addo is fast developing a reputation for possessing very little patience for sports journalists who asks questions he deems ‘unimportant’.
On the back of telling a Ghanaian sports journalist he did not understand football for asking about his game plan, Addo wasted no time in telling off a Nigerian journalist at the team’s pre-match press conference by urging him to ask ‘good questions’.
Ghana held their first and only training session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Monday evening ahead of the crunch second leg meeting between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off tie.
After the training, Otto Addo faced the press for the mandatory pre-game press conference and did not take lightly to a Nigerian journalist asking him about “sweating profusely” in the first leg.
See the full interaction below:
Nigerian journalist: Coach Otto Addo the last time in Kumasi you were sweating profusely, are we going to see same tomorrow.
Otto Addo laughs: We have limited time so if you have opportunity, ask good questions. This is not a good question related to the game
