Nigeria’s Technical Director, Austin Eguavoen, has named nine (9) attackers in his 25-man squad to face Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off later this month.

Strikers Odion Ighalo and Victor Osimhen, who both missed the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, lead the forward line that also includes Villareal’s Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon (Nantes), Ahmed Musa (Fatih Karagumruk), Sadiq Umar (UD Almeria), Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City), and Emmanuel Dennis (Watford).

Ademola Lookman (Leicester City), who just completed a nationality switch from England, also makes the squad.

Eguavoen has also named 7 players on a stand-by list.

Ghana will host the first leg on March 25, 2022 at the Cape Coast Stadium before going to Abuja for the second leg on March 29, 2022.
