Assistant Black Stars coach, George Boateng believes the time has come for Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus to elevate his game to the next level.

The 21 year old is in his second season with Dutch side Ajax after joining from Danish side Nordsjaelland but has already established himself as a key member of the Ghana’s national team the Black Stars.

Following Ghana’s triumph over Nigeria in the World Cup playoffs Boateng wants Kudus to move on from being viewed as a wonderkid to an established world class player.

The Aston Villa U-19 coach was speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports.

“Mohammed Kudus is an outstanding player, one that I really admire and I love watching him.” Boateng said.

“But he needs to start kicking on now because staying talent for many years is not good enough,

“You need to go from talent to becoming a world class player.”

The draw for the 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place at 16:00 GMT in Doha, Qatar today and Ghana has been placed in Pot 4 alongside Cameroon.
