Celta Vigo centre-back, Joseph Aidoo will miss Ghana’s first AFCON 2023 qualifier against Madagascar, according to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In a statement, the GFA confirmed that Aidoo picked up an injury in training on Monday after twisting his right ankle and will miss Wednesday’s clash against the Barea of Madagascar.
Aidoo, 26, is currently under observation and will go through rehabilitation to aid his path to full recovery.
Ghana will lock horns with Madagascar in Cape Coast on June 1, 2022 and then fly to the Central African Republic for their second game of the qualifiers on Sunday.
