Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has paid a courtesy call on the President of the republic, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Al Sadd forward has been the highest scoring Ghanaian abroad with 18 goals in all competitions for the Qatari side this season.

Ayew, who missed Ghana’s last 2 games through suspension after a red card in Ghana’s ignominious AFCON exit at the hands of Comoros, has rejoined the national team ahead of Ghana’s 2023 AFCON qualifying campaign.

President Akufo Addo had previously stated how important the Black Stars are to the nation and has expressed his support for the team.

The Black Stars will begin their AFCON journey against  Madagascar on June 1st, 2022 in Cape Coast.
