On Saturday night, the crème de la crème of the Ghanaian society gathered at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra to celebrate one of Africa’s greats.
The launch of former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan’s book was the biggest event of the evening, and the high-profile names that drifted into the venue, dressed in their finest, was proof of that.
The book details the beginnings and the rise to fame of Ghana’s greatest-ever goalscorer, as well as the controversies and lows that he overcame to reach the top.
Some of the biggest names in African football, politics, academia and the corporate world were present at the event, including the Special Guest of Honour, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who officially launched the book.
