2022 Commonwealth Games: Ghana’s 4x100m female team qualify to final

Ghana’s female 4x100m team have progressed to the finals of the relay race at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The quartet of Mary Boakye, Latifa Ali, Gifty Oku and Hor Halutie booked one of the two non-automatic qualifiers as they finished fifth in Heat 2 with a time of 44.32s which becomes their season-best.

The group were competing together for the first time as Mary Boakye started the race and handed the baton to Latifa Ali who progressed it to Gifty Oku before Hor Halutie who finished off the race.
