Agyemang-Badu bags debut title with new side Great Olympics

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has bagged his debut title with new side Accra Great Olympics after the Wonder Club emerged winners of the GHALCA G6 Tournament.

The veteran midfielder joined Great Olympics this offseason and featured in Olympics’ 2-0 win over Bechem United in the final.

He went close to grabbing a goal in the first half as his trademark long range shot was parried around the post; Olympics scored in either half to lift the preseason competition. (Click highlighted text to watch free kick)

This G6 has actually helped us; we are in the preseason and I just started training with them…and I think things are going on well. We hope to be ready before the league starts” he stated.

The title win is the first for Olympics as the team prepares to take on Bechem United in the opening round of the 2022-2023 betPawa Ghana Premier League Season that starts on September 9.

Agyemang-Badu made a return to the league after playing out an illustrious career mainly in the Italian Serie A for Udinese and Hellas Verona.

He played at the 2014 World Cup with Ghana’s Black Stars after winning the FIFA Under 20 World Cup with the Black Satellites.
