The Ghanaian Delegate reported missing by the British Police Force in the aftermath of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham has been found.

Beyond finding the Delegate, Team Ghana’s Accreditation Liaison Officer, Farida Iddriss, confirmed in an interview, the ‘missing’ delegate has returned to Ghana.

Reports reaching Citi Sports indicate, the delegate arrived in Ghana on Sunday, August 14 on a Qatar Airways six days after the conclusion of the multisport competition.

Reports last week emerged of 17 people made up of athletes and delegates’ whereabouts couldn’t be accounted for, but nine were quickly found.

However, the Ghanaian Delegate and seven others including two Pakistani Boxers and members of the Sri Lankan contingent at the Games were still yet to be found.

Ghana won five medals at the Birmingham Games to match its best medal haul at the Commonwealth Games since the 1998 Games held in Kuala Lampur in Malaysia.

Boxers Joseph Commey and Abraham Mensah won Silver medals in Birmingham while Long Jumper Deborah Acquah, Sprinter Joseph Paul Amoah and Boxer Abdul Wahid Omar won Bronze Medals.
